Sunriver is stunning this time of year- the trees are changing to beautiful bright autumn colors, the air is crisp and calm, and with the lack of crowds there is plenty of space to enjoy the all the beauty.

What better place to do that than from your own StoneRidge Townhomes vacation home?  Whether your version of a great vacation is relaxing inside by the fire or getting out and adventuring through Central Oregon, we have it all.

There is so much to do directly in our back yard. You can check out a bike and ride the less than ½ mile down to the Village at Sunriver, where you will find an amplitude of stores with unique trinkets and gifts.

While at the Village, you can stop by Brewed Awakenings and get an awesome cup of local coffee and enjoy the peaceful ambiance, they offer comfy couches, board games to play, and a beautiful fireplace to relax by.

On your ride back, you can take the long way via the river loop where the deer are out and active and birdwatching is in full swing. If you’re up for it, you could even ride out to Benham falls on the new fully paved bike path that takes you out to the falls and to the Lava Butte Visitor Center- this area is full of geographical history and information.

If you want to venture out of Sunriver, the nearby Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway is a gorgeous drive surrounded by endless lakes. This time of year has, in my opinion, the most beautiful sunsets- the high desert climate combined with the wispy clouds create a view that’s unmatchable. Combine that with a view of Sparks or Todd Lake with the insane mountains in the backdrop and you are set for a view like never before – photographers come from all over to catch the beauty, and luckily you are less than 45 minutes from it here at Stoneridge. Townhomes.

While in the area, there are countless hikes that will leave you breathless; my favorite is Green Lakes. It is an easy and popular 9 mile hike round trip- starting off it takes you a few miles along the beautiful Fall Creek (with numerous waterfalls), through a lava field, and opens up to the Green Lakes with beautiful snowcapped Broken Top huge as can be behind it- a must see this time of year if you have time.

This time of year brings less crowds- which, if you are a golfer, means more available tee times and some courses even have discounts this time of year. Less crowds also mean shopping is more enjoyable, there are less waits in Sunriver’s restaurants, and no sitting around wasting your vacation in traffic. That means more time to spend your season in our year round outdoor hot tub, sauna, or steam room; more time to enjoy your home or more time to spend out riding bikes or walking the paths with your family.

Fall is a great time to experience Central Oregon- there is so much to do to soak in the beauty of it all. Obviously every season has different aspects that make it enjoyable, especially in a place as special as Sunriver. At Stoneridge Townhomes, you can enjoy every season with our vacation homes that offer fractional ownership with the benefit of being centrally located in all the fun. Come visit, see what all we have to offer and enjoy the beauty in which we call home.
